This guy is pretty damn good, but this video shows him using what looks like an ASS, but I'm sure it's a damn copy. Has the 4x2 headstock and the body shape is similar. In the other videos he uses some fairly ugly looking guitar, but it also has the 4x2 headstock like our beloved Balls have. Where do these things come from?

This is a job for WONDERDOG!!!

Hey Wonderdog,

Will you please check this guy's site out? He's got a 4+2 headstock made and sold in Europe.

Thank you!
-Beth :)

I looked at the Axis shaped guitar, and it does look a little less like an Axis on the site. However, it's pretty obvious where the inspiration for it came from

Edit: Maybe a mod could put Wonderdog's name in the title, so he'll see it?

It's a Bo~EL G.G. series. I had one of those guitars. There great, but in my opinion a little too much inspired by the Musicman Axis... I always wondered why Bo~EL could make these guitars and still not get sued by Musicman (for the use of the 4+2 headstock and body design).

"We are proud to tell you that from the 1st of October 2006 we will provide every Bo-El guitar with Custom made strings by Curt Mangan USA."

Aww, how cute. Birds of a feather...

Didn't Kurt Mangin used to work for EB? I remember him trying to push his strings on us, it got kind of irritating...

He called me one morning and the conversation went something like this:

"Hi, I'm Curt Mangan from Curt Mangan Strings and I was wondering what your top selling guitar strings are"
- Ernie Ball and *********
"You said your name was Pete DuBaldo?"
-Yep
"Oh that's right, I saw you on the internet. Did you know that I used to work for EB until I started my own company?"
--*cue the alarm bells*---
"Would you like to sell my strings? I can fax you a price list"
- Honestly I really don't want to bring in any other string lines, I just sell what people ask for, and that's EB & D'Addario.
"Well my strings are fusion matched for life and tone"
- Sorry man, I'm just not interested
"I used to work for EB"
- Sorry man, gotta go, my student just arrived

Fusion matched.... if you really break down the vocabulary, that makes no sense at all, at least to me. Am I missing something?

hehehe, this turned into a funny thread. And yea...WTF is fusion matched? Fusion with what and to match what??? LOL Anyway, I think that the guitarist should jus pick up an ASS and throw that garbage copy out at once. Maybe I should contact him through his MySpace site.
