Hey all, hows it going? :)
Had a quesiton about the old music man Luke 1's. I recently got one used and am having abit of issues with the gotoh trem, as some parts appear to be abit warn out. I was looking online at some gotoh floyds and came across a gotoh floyd 1996T. Would this fit on my luke? if not, what kind of floyd would be a good replacement?

Thanks all.

Yes it's best to go for a gotoh but be careful which one you get because they make different sizes. I once bought a gotoh replacement thinking it would slot straight into my Luke 1 but it was too big. I ended up using the saddles from the new block on the old one and it was all good. The knife edges on my old unit are now totally blunt, but remarkably the tuning and stability are still fantastic, so I'm not worrying about it any more.

My knife edges are not that bad but my saddles show some rust, so I do want to replace those. The main reason on doing all this is because something is wrong with the trem arm. When I pull up it makes a loud click sound, almost as if it's not locked in place even though the screw holding it in on the bottom is locked in tight. Curious if a new gotoh trem arm can fix this issue.

I think you may be able to send your trem to ebmm and buy a replacement from them. You should contact customer service. They are very helpful. Good luck!
