I'm feeling better as of this morning. Still kind of weird not knowing where/how she is and what she's doing but I guess it's none of my bidness anymore.

It's going to take a while. I'm sure it'll be the least of my concerns when we're all in the desert though.

Stanky look for these places called "oriental massage" they help you get over high maintenance women. Fwip ova.....

But you have to follow my advice of doing the opposite of what you feel like doing.

WHo is more attractive to you.....a beaten down sobbing helpless drooling idiot or a shoulders back hard charging positive winner?

There's an old saying which I will paraphrase. Women marry men thinking they'll change, and they don't. Men marry women thinking they won't change, and they do.

Jack

I heard a great bit from a stand-up comic once:

When I met the girl of my dreams, she said "Don't ever change. I love you for who you are."

So I married her.

She spent the next 20 years trying to change me. It was rough. But to save the marriage, I changed my ways.

Then she divorced me. She said I wasn't the same man she married.

:D

Andrew, if you go to one of these massage places, make sure you say '' YES '' when they ask you if you want a '' Happy Ending ''

Andrew buddy, it all comes down to her loving you for who you are. If she cant do that, then you will realize eventuaally that this was the better outcome. That being said, if you ever did change for her, she would either love the fake you, or then say "youve changed, I dont like it"

Everything happens for a reason and my only suggestion is to give it time and keep yourself busy!!

Ah well if its over its over, as we said your young shoulder back head up and have a blast this weekend!

Also the Irish cure for a broken heart, sit down with a bottle of whiskey,by the time you have finished the bottle you will have forgotten all about the girl !!!

Tried and tested !!

Been there more often than I'd wanted in my life... it's hard, it hurts, and every time I thought, it can't get any worse than that. But it did.

I can't tell you a cure, but look at it this way: Those feeling you have tell you clearly that you are alive, that you are able to feel deeply for someone, that you are able to love. Be happy that you can have those feelings, because as bad as they are now, as good they were before, and will be good again in the future.

Also, if you feel bad, take one of your basses, and start playing. Express yourself. Write songs. Try to write down what you feel at the moment, how you got there. It's a creative way to get it off your chest, plus you eventually turn up with a killer ballad. ;)

Love & Peace,

Oliver.

Mr. Stankface,

Stand tall and proud. You're a bassist, and she's not.

good vibes from another badtimer

hey Stanky, I just lost another post to you in cyberspace, and I'm renaming this post " The ballad of 2 lonesome cowboys" ... but that's brain damage for you, I'm sending all the good vibes and prayers I can to you from Vancouver even though the docs her in rehab are beginning to write me off and this feels really bad here to "lose my life and think about never playing SR5 again due to a CVA 6 months ago ... extra prayers go to you because it's only because of my SWEETHEART that I'm doing well enough to read your story and wish you luck with the next little gal that comes along your way to make the life of a bass player a little less lonesome ...

Hang in there Stanky:)

Sorry for hijacking your blues thread but it's really painful here at this end too ... I wish we could go out for some beer, sauerkraut and pigtails together right about now:)

Best Wishes STanky,

/PL:)

Tough talk from me. First off your thread kind of broke my heart then I thought aboutit.

Screw anyone who writes you off as long as you dont write yourself off. These things take time and double secret perseverance. Use thier quiting as extra motivation and make sure that its a positive one. Easily said but you need all of the positive energy you can and events like that tend to produce more negaive energy

Pzo,

You've been in my prayers for a while now. Going out and grabbing a few beers sounds great.

You're a strong guy and we all know that. Please keep us updated. Don't you worry about me. :)

I'm feeling a good bit better now. The pain is trickling away and I'm looking at this is a re-opened door for me. I can really pursue my goal to start playing full time. I'll be attending the Atlanta Institute of Music this time next year.

Things are looking good guys! Thanks for the prayers and good vibes! It means alot!
