Off Topic Goodbye Lightweight Amps?

Since we have a lot of Markbass users i have a question. I'm assuming due to the weight of the CMD 102P i just ordered that Markbass are using Neo's in there cabs?

Matt: Love those Eminence drivers!

As far as I know MarkBass cabs are not involved in this problem, so go on with MB gear! ;)

By the way, ...I just used at last weekend gig my old F Bassman 250 combo equipped with original USA 15" Eminence driver + Foster 1" horn, ...works perfect, much better than my previous 210 EBS cab! :)
I'll stick with 115 configuration for a while, fits with my reflex and Sterling just fine!

All Markbass cabinets contain ultra-light neodymium speakers. This cabinet is available in both 4 ohm (T102P-4) and 8 ohm (T102P-8) versions.

Markbass - Traveler 102P

Not sure how MarkBass is getting around this "neodymium problem" since the problem is "allegedly" traced back to the material itself.

Could be any number of ways, including, but not limited to,

- Having seen the writing on the wall and stocking up on supply prior to the price hike,
- Having a long term supply contract in place with prices already agreed upon
- Eating the price hike internally, in order to keep sales up
- Burning off pre-existing stock before bumping up prices on new stock

I think he was talking about the "problem" of Neo magnets supposedly crumbling from vibration.
