Yeah.... at the time I got mine (around 2000) a couple people told me they loved the pups in their particular instrument. I have absolutely no explanation for their not sounding good in mine though....thats why I thought they had to be 'broken'. heheheh ;)

As both a DiMarzio and EB artist, it makes it easier for me to experiment with these things. FWIW, I prefer the Morse with either all stock pu's or with the single coils switched with the DiMarzio Areas. If you want a slightly more aggressive output DiMarzio pu that works nicely in the Morse, I would suggest the PAF Joe. I liked it, but the stock Morse humbuckers are more to my liking, so that's what I keep in there.

Well, I have a very deep respect for your playing and your music John and I appreciate your input. The stock pickups will stay. I was thinking about taking out the straight single coil and replacing it with either a Red Velvet or a Duncan Twang Banger.

I appreciate that, but please don't think I was trying to talk you out of it. I'm simply stating what is working for me. Don't ever take any advice off the internet. :D

It has the rare quality of being both an awesome pickup on its own and sounding great when it's split. Really a gem.
