As the title states, I got my new pickguard, and was wondering what you folks think. It's a little more red than the site showed it, but it looks pretty good. I'm still trying to figure out whether I'll keep it on there.

Like it, I think... hard to tell with that lighting (I might be a bit much)? I would love to see a shot in natural light. I guess the question is... what do you think???

I'll try to get a shot in the sun tomorrow, Mr Sun already went to sleep by the time I took the pics.

I'm not sure if I like it....I think it would rock on Lava Pearl....the only problem is that my Lava Pearl Bongo is a HH.

Just noticed. Is that HD-500 and RBH115 your practice rig??

I don't know if I'd call the HD-500 a practice amp, but that's the amp that I play at home most of the time. I also have a GK 200MB and an Eden Nemesis head that I run into an Ampeg 4x10. I use my GK 100RBII into the Neo 2x12 for my band - I'll throw the RBH 115 under it sometimes too....depends on how my back is feeling.

Funny thing is that the HD-500 gets more use than all of them. Sounds great through the RBH 115....I'd love to get my hands on the Audiophile cabinets to try with it.

It probably would rock on a Lava. The DG might be able to carry it (mine goes pretty red is some lighting) but as it stands it might be just enough off that it doesn't work - need more time and picts to make up my mind though:D (it might be like when I put an abalone pg on kermit, it kind of worked and grew on me, but in the end, the original pg won out).

Wow!

 That's new and different! I like it! It gives the Bongo a totally different appeal.

I say, keep both and change them to suit your mood.

Now, there's an idea from the 70's! Mood pickguards! :D

I kind of like that orange. If you decide to off it let me know. Like Mark, I think a nice brown tort would look nice as well.
