I am just overwhelmed by the options. I don't have the time to travel around playing everything out there, and frankly playing around in a music store is like test driving a car. You just never know what you are going to get until 6 months down the road. I am having a hard time pulling the trigger on anything.

I know that buying the right amp is a very personal thing, but I get all the sounds I need from my setup (Shuttle 6.0 + (2) Epifani UL112 cabs). You could get any setup, but mine is so versatile, that I pretty much set mine flat and let the bass do the talking. A slight bump on the bass' EQ and I can be heard without any PA support in MOST settings.

I would just go to a reputable retailer that would allow you the full 30 days to try whatever setup that you want. IF at that time you aren't satisfied, just return it and exchange for a different setup. That's what I did to get MY sound.

Well I just bought a Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0. The pre amp tube one me over the Little Mark. Now... since I've blown my budget on the head, I may as well get into trouble and buy a cab. I am leaning towards an Avatar B212, for the value. I can always upgrade later.

:)

Good choice, but that will be found in time. I have no personal experience with the Avatar cabs, but friends have told me that they are very punchy. I would consider the single 12's instead of the 212 for versatility. JMHO

Congrats on the GB, now just bite the bullet and buy a decent 410 cab.
You could get a 210, but then you are somewhat limited unless you go high end.
