I used "granfalloon" but it may turn out to be a "karass", I can't be sure.

If you don't understand those terms, use wikipedia! Heretics!

Nonetheless, this thread is for devotees of the BP Secret Weapon, which is not so secret anymore. If you have sampled the single H Koolaid and found it to your liking, post your gig photos, experiences, beliefs and photos of the hot teenage babysitter that almost sent you to jail for the rest of your life.

Or, you know, just photos of your Bongo 1H.

I believe I was one of the early guys on the wagon. There was only one other Single H Bongo around these boards before I received the fretless Single H. It was the Desert Gold Bongo Single H, that I think went through Travis' and Jack's hands before settling with HeavyDuty maybe?

Here is when I got the Fretless, also known as the SmallEQ Tribute model.

Here is the fretted brother I bought to keep the other one company.

And after some tumultuous few months, I have settled on the a fretted Medallion Gold Single H. I believe Jack and I decided that from now on, any Medallion Gold Single H Bongo shall be known as a SmallEQ tribute model.

As seen in another post.....I just got this one. Used to own the beauty that is in smalleq's hands and regretted selling it. This one popped up here and on TB for sale and I jumped on it. Glad I did.

Do the Bongo HH's have the bridge humbucker in the same spot that the single H's do? My eyes might be playing tricks on me, but it looks like the single H's are a little closer to the neck compared to the HH models.

Justin,

I believe you are right. The single "H" is strategically placed into its own little 'hot spot'. This is what provides its magical power.

Single H Bongos have their pickup in the same location as Stingrays, Sterlings and SR5's. This spot is known as the Musicman Sweetspot to most people. The Dual pickup Bongos have the bridge pickup moved closer to the the bridge. Dual pickup SR4, SR5 and Sterlings have the bridge pickup in the traditional location.

I was one of the first Single H players around here.

I had this one, and SORELY miss it.

This bass comes to mind too often. My worst "offing" ever.

You people are making me GAS for an H Bongo.

Stop it!

I just sold two Bose systems and the commission check will soon be staring me in the face.

Grrrrr.......

still haven't seen a single H Bongo in the flesh, erm, wood, magnus

There's one at a nearby dealer, in a color I like (CAR).

Only thing is, it's missing a string. I must have that fifth string. MUST, mind you.

Maybe I should call Customer Service and see if they can track down an H 5er......

hmmm.......
