My Bongo 5H BFR - Best bass I've ever had. There's nothing like the Bongo H - so powerful, so rich, sits in the mix so well....just beautiful to hear and play.

Thanks Tommy! I have the same strap for all of my Music Man basses. I don't think I could ever get rid of this one though. I love these basses so much. They are my babies!

I'm seriously planning to join a single H bongo club, but I'm not completely sure that I'd be welcome, 'cause me want 5 banger with piezo? :p

I love the Bongo H. I have 2 and they're killers. They are my go-to basses these days. It's nice to get compliments on the look as well as the tone at gigs.

Here's the Blue Dawn in action.

Haha nice to see a 5yo thread come alive:)
I still hjave the Blue Bomber, aquired in a very convoluted way including at least three, possibly four people. Nowadays it sports a clear pg with a very artsy collage underneath it.

I don't mean to rub it in,but what the heck werer you thinking......that is killer

I still miss that bass from time to time. It was a good one, and I wish I had it back. Its one of those that was only offed to fund something else, and it should have stayed.

And even more important: Where is it now?

Lets see, it was whored around a bunch in the early days. I sold it, and it went to Brad (bdgotoh), Jack, and I think it landed for good in IL, with our buddy HeavyDuty Ken.

Yep, Jack had it and I sort of got it off Rex...
Btw, the only flaw to any of my Bongos is the rather substatial chip in the finish on the upper horn, and only now do I understand what happened: The licking weakened the finish and when the bass fell in Rex's garage it chipped easy.

Speaking on my authority as Nobody-of-Any-Authority, I do
hereby grant thee absolution, based on thy love of the piezo.

BTW in case you never read the fine print the piezo includes
and upgrade to 4-band EQ. Unsaved 1H Boingos are 3-band.

Quick question...in the Bongo HS pickup configuration is the H in the Ray "sweet spot" or the same as the Bongo HH? Looks the same in pics.

The Single H is the only bongo with the pickup in the sweet spot. That is why they rule.
