When I saw the title of your post, I had the horrible thought that you dropped your guitar. This is much better! :D

I think it sounds pretty good. Nice tone, and if that is sloppy playing, then I should just give up, 'cause I'm way sloppier than that. :p

Very nice, Lionel! I just recorded a live concert of his recently filmed in HD. Not sure if you've seen it, but he plays three sets -- acoustic, blues (Trio), popular music (full band). You do a great job here getting that sound.

Thanks guys. I'm learning now how difficult it is to play creatively over a certain length of music when you are the only source of melody. Remeber when you jam with someone else or a vocal song, and the guitar lead bit is only maybe 20 secs at the most. When thrown a full length of music to vocalise over with a guitar, I'm finding that it's one of the most dfficult thing to play melodically trying to tell a story, yet not going back to our trick bag of standard licks.

I like doing covers for this key reason. Makes for a great lesson in phrasing and composition.

Great track. Also, some great backing stuff. How did you manage that?
