My local GC has a black 4 string Bongo HH new on the wall for less than that. I'd go new anyday. Plus it has two pickups! :D

Yes Randy. But, what you must understand is that the Single H Bongo is one bad mofo, and highly underrated.

I had a Single H Bongo 5. I also had a Dual H Bongo 4 knocker.

Very different animals. They both are great, but the Single H actually worked better for me than the Dual H. Im telling yall. The Single H Bongo is special. I wish they had been released first. I dont think theyve gotten the chance or credit they deserve.

Why did I get rid of the Single H Bongo 5???

Of course you're right. The singles are probably harder to find and have their own tone. Randy

From the looks of it, they're both still there at this point today.

If the original bongos didn't come with the cases, how did they get shipped from the factory?

Hey Jack, is that a pretty good deal on that lefty SR4?

It's not exactly a smokin' deal or anything - about average (800-850) for a used SR4.

But I don't know what those lefties go for - must be a much smaller market.

Not a bad deal, though, if it's in great shape.

I can only speak for myself, but I know that my fretless Bongo was sent resting on a silk pillow filled with unicorn hair on the back of a racing turtle under the command of 16 vestal virgins.

But, that might have just been because it was, you know.....me.
