About 3 weeks ago I had back surgery and haven't been able to do anything but lay down and sit for no more than 15 minutes every hour :( The good news is I can walk without limping and can actually feel my right foot.

Anyway, got clearance from the Doc today to start moving around more and unlimited sittting. Only drawback is I can't lift anything over 10lbs. Good thing my Axis SS weighs less than 7lbs!!!!

I've just spent the last hour trying to get my chops back but having a blast being able to play again. Of course the weather here in Texas has swung from 80s to teens over night so I've also adjusted the trussrod for the first time on any guitar. Gotta love being able to adjust on th fly with the Axis.

Just wanted to share the good news.

Wishing you a quick recovery.

Reminds me of the old 3 stooges line...

How long have you had a weak back?

Oh, about a week back.

Dang, I almost choked on my Mike's Hard Lemmonade...so ...I'm trying to picture you hitting the toilet bowl...what angle you working with bro? Are you lifting you leg?

I hope you get to feeling better Ned !!! Just take it easy for awhile and you will be back to normal, I've got some experience at what you are going through, it will just take some time. Hey, but at least you're getting to play guitars !!!!!!
:D

Thanks for the encouragement and ugly visuals.

I'm limiting my playing to warmup, scales and a couple VH songs. Today or tomorrow I'll move that up to twice a day.

I actually thought about getting a standard Axis (like I need another guitar) but I'm saving for a new engine for the race car (to many hobbies). So I'll have to break out the prototype Tokai SoundStream for my standard tuning playing.
