Woo-hoo! Congrats!
I saw your post about it on FB the other day, and like a dummy, I started a new thread asking about it instead of just putting it here...

http://forums.ernieball.com/ernie-ball-music-man-guitars/63717-brett-al.html

I was looking last night to see if you posted a video with it yet...??????

**just saw you posted one up....can't wait to watch it when I get home later tonight!!!

****Another great video review, Mr. Burgs....:D
Now you just need to try an HH version (with the coil splits for the full experience), and then hunt down a MM90 to try for the full AL trifecta! :p

Valentine demo

It's been a while. I hope you're all well!

I had a chance to take a look at a Valentine this week. What a great axe! Wish it were mine, but it's not to be - yet! :D

Here's my little vid demo.

Hey that Axis is my guitar! Well it will be when it shows up via UPS in about 2 hours! Haha, bought from a fellow forum member. Awesome!

Hey, I popped up a vid for Alexander Pedals' Sky Fi today, for Pro Guitar Shop who use me as a hired gun occasionally. I just happened to have the Valentine hanging about (not mine!)

Anyway..

Just watched the Riverside video - 3 times. Awesome! Makes me want to go play my HH Albert.

Would you be able to share where you get your backing tracks? I really need to get some good ones for practicing. Much obliged if you could. Thanks!

Haha. That's keen! Home | Jamtrackcentral is the place. I've downloaded a ton from them. They charge, but they're challenging and worth it for the quality, I think.

For anyone who hasn't seen that vid, here it is. Another will appear later this week once I get the thumbs up from Strymon.

Saw this the other day - very nice! Love the tones out of that guitar - although I was getting thrown off by that cocked-wah setting at times. Was that a pedal or a preset? I couldn't tell. What was going on there, man! :D

Haha. That was a first attempt at an autowah setting I'm working on. Turned out to be half cocked and half auto - the threshold wasn't high enough. I like it, though, and it will be improved.

String taste test

I pulled out four packs of 9-42's the other day - all of the major EB food groups. It's quite hard to make a string comparison given the medium of Youtube and probable human inconsistencies with playing strength, attack, etc., over the four examples. Anyway, with all due respect, I couldn't go down the 'Let's see if we can break this string' route which is currently doing the rounds. That's not me at all. So...

So much Albert Lee goodness in that video! :D

Never really considered the Luther Drive before - very impressive the way it cleans up with the volume knob. I'm used to that on fuzz pedals, not so much on overdrives. Definitely a "plus" feature on this one. Very nice!

Yeah - my AL HH has been getting a ton of use lately - mostly thanks to the JP video posted on another thread where I learned a lot about EQing my own amp. But I digress. The HH AL is such a nice instrument. And the neck, oh glory!

A few more videos. Follow the next few posts...

I've made a few more vids for your general bemusement, folks.

Here's four of the best tag-teaming over a Frampton-esque track with a Tucana model in the Axe.
