Punch! To! The! Gut!

It took a week or so to settle in, but the tone is simply magnificent. Pesky string noise is gone, clarity in the fundamental is precise, and did I mention the punch? This set of strings is a keeper.

On your 30th? Now that's going just a bit too far. :D

I've got group III's on my buttercream, which, takes some getting used to. I'm pretty sure they'll never be on my 30th.

I wouldn't say I'm wild about the sound of my buttercream. I'm okay with it and it serves it's purpose (having a second bass on stage with a completely different sound for certain songs).

With regard to the the 30th, well, it's been said that is the best Stingray ever made. And since Stingrays have a unique sound all to themselves, one I happen to love, why mess with it. OEM equipment all the way. Hell, I haven't even changed out the strap locks. :D
