Group II flatwound bass strings

Hi to all.
I just want to say thanks to the guys who work to make the EB flatwound bass strings. I have a 1985 Ibanez RB850 (since new) and swapped out the pickups with Bartolini BD4 series neck and bridge a few years ago. Since that time, I have tried numerous strings, and tunings, in an effort to get "the sound". I had a set of group II flatwounds which had once lived on my Yamaha fretless P, also Bartolini 8S P equipped, which felt good, but just didn't have enough of something in the sound I just couldn't quite put my finger on.
Then I saw this video http://wapela.com/download/QOoLKgAtbx0.html showing a guy giving them a polish and clean. I did the same. Now the RB850 bass sounds, and also importantly, feels just right, it now does anything from a motownesque P bass sound, to a sound close to (but not quite exactly, of course) Bernard Edward's awesome MM bass. I just can't put it down, because its sound and feel is exactly what I was looking for!
My quest is at an end, at least for that bass....
I would like to try the cobalts out at some point also.
Thanks once again,
Geoff
