Group III Flats on a Sterling

This should maybe go into the strings forum, but I figure it's a bass-centric question and you folks are, well, bass players. Mods - please move if necessary.

Has anyone put Group III Flats on a Sterling? Particularly a 2H Sterling? If so, what are you impressions comparing them to the original Slinkys. Punchier? Louder/quieter? How's the presence?

And this may be a question best suited to Lord Bovine, though anyone else please chime in: How is the string tension compared to TI Jazz Flats? If there are published tension number, please provide a pointer.

Ken, the Group III's tensions in ft/lbs are are -

G 0.045 45.7
D 0.065 52.0
A 0.080 43.7
E 0.100 38.4

TI Jazz Flats are -

G .043 37.03
D .056 37.47
A .070 31.30
E .100 34.39

So, there is quite a significant tension difference. The Group IVs on the other hand are a bit closer to TI tension (but still higher than TI) -

G 0.040 37.6
D 0.060 45.2
A 0.075 36.4
E 0.095 35.2

I have either Group IIIs or Group IVs on my HH 4 Sterling right now Ken. They might be a hair less tension than the original Slinkys but it's close. Volume seems close as well. All the typical flats tonal differences - less highs and growl, sustain is a bit shorter but still good.
