Group IV Samples...
I recorded a full set of samples with EB Group IV flats the other day, and they are up on my basswhisperer page. <WARNING!> They are part of a review of a non-EB bass, so if that offends anyone, tell me now and I'll remove this post. (Half-kidding... half.... serious!) The bass is the feature, but... the strings really sound great on it. I like the Group IVs, even better than the IIIs that I used for the EB website samples. They're looser, and seem to have a more resonant tone, kind of like TIs with more edge. Me likey.

Finally somebody proves you can actually slap on flats. Those sound great. Would you say the tension is comparable to TIs? Those are what I prefer. But I'm curious how much stiffer they are than the TIs

A tiny bit stiffer and brighter than TIs. I personally like that - TIs don't always work for me even though they sound great.
