For those of you who have one or several: Are they single piece body or two piece body?

i played 6 30ths and 3 of them had a 2piece and 3 had a one piece body.

somehow the 2piece bodys seemed to have a little more punch.

if you are looking to the 30ths at station-music.de don't choose the 5kg one!!! it sounds like it don't want to be a bass! it restists to resonate. i played it when i bought my 30th in that store. mine is a 4,7kg "model" and they sounded best. i also played a 4,2kg they had in stock - and it sounded thin...

Interesting observation, I'd have expected the exact opposite!
Consider yourself lucky that you had the opportunity to choose them by playing!

Are you by any chance near to Erfurt? Musikland seams to have a nice example...

the fretless is a one-piece while the fretted is a two-piece..
