guess what i got..

give the man a prize, yes a pack of strings i figured since the ATK has its origies since 1996 might as well change them,,

i bought sum super slinky customs roundwounds i have no idea what kind of sound i will get but hopefully good and hopefully nice on the fingers....:rolleyes:

no no if i buy a bass it will be from you more then likely,, because id still like to have a warranty and from what i understand if i buy in the states and bring up here warranty is void?
 
well you see this ATK even had the orig battery lol from korea or wherever they came from, i'm the orig owner and she slept most her life in her case, cause i played the EX series, but my g/friend who was in the states for a while brought me back a washburn XB120 so its now my beat on whatever bass for fun, but its nice for what she paid, you should see the FLAME on it, really interesting, but yes,, soon sooon,, my tax return will come in and i will send a deposit,

BUT now i am being more drawn to white/rosewood/white headstock dammit

Yeah I can see how it's puzzling. My fault. I took a guess at answering your opening riddle before I read the whole thread. So the "Ibanez Strat Copy" thing was also a guess, IOW a wild guess that your first EB product was guitar [not bass] strings for some commonplace guitar. Total guesses.

So then my reply drops in right after you state that the purchase *IS* indeed strings, but strings for an ATK bass. That I guessed at an Ibanez and that your bass is an Ibanez is just coincidence. I wouldn't dump on an ATK. The ATK is a very respectable StingRay type bass. Not a clone or look-alike, but a "StingRay Genre" ax [like a Flea Bass etc].

I had a USA [Dave Bunker built] fretted ATK with the Bunker neck. I've still got a Korean ATK FL. Great ax. Weighs like a Peavey T-40 or a metal neck Kramer, but it plays great and sounds great, too.

My fault for any confusion, and enjoy the Slinkies on the ATK. Now your ATK is even more Ray-like than before.

I can email you a pic at a regular email address. I can't upload anything to the forum thru my employer's 2-way firewall, but I can attach files to normal emails. Actually, I also cannot see most of the pix attached to posted messages, and can see absolutely none that are linked from public access archiving sites. It's a similar situation to what I hear is going on with the internet as regulated by the Chinese gov't, but I'm in N. Ameriga. So, speaking of access and limits, are we supposed to be posting pix of StingRay-esque non-MM basses on the EBMM forum?

Anyway, if you PM me with your email addy, I'll send it to you and you can post it if that's allowed.
