Hey--you guys find another thread to talk about the HH Stingrays. This one is about SC/H Sterlings. What---it costs you money to start your own thread?

:D

Just kidding. I think in a head to head competition that I would prefer the SCH over the HH, but it depends on the bass. But, then, I'm a wierd guy who likes to solo single coil neck pickups and use a pick and a mute, so what do I know?

The Firebox seems pretty cool so far. I didn't really mess around with it much. I hadn't seen my girlfriend much in the last couple of days so we ate Mexican food and watched a couple of episodes of Carnivale on DVD.

I've not heard much about Cubase LE, so I'll be playing with that for the first time tonight. I had no problem setting up an audio track to record, but I haven't tried to import anything from ACID to play over yet. We'll see how that goes.

I've enjoyed Acid (heh heh....ahem) Studio so much that I'm thinking of picking up Sound Forge Audio Studio for my multi-track recording stuff while it's got a $30 rebate. It's fun playing over Mick Fleetwood drum loops. :D

Which GC is this????

Travis, we might need to take a ride. :p

Andrew

I forgot to respond to this. It's the N. Druid Hills Guitar Center. The one where I met Travis and removed roundwound squeaks from his life. :D

I warn you now--if you are already a fan of Sterlings, you'd be wise to leave your credit cards/cash/checkbook at home. That thing is a hot rod.

CubaseLE is limited but it doesn't suck. Like anything, you just need to tweak things to get it to do what you want.

Of course this IS the CodeMonkey here, if I didn't own a copy of Nuendo I'd probably WRITE one.

Heh. The "Getting Started" manual is 178 pages. I'd hate to see what it'd look like if it weren't limited.

What's a manual? I don't bother with them. Everything you ever wanted to know about anything you can learn from the interjavaweb.

Why that would be... get both
Doesn't the HH version simulate "getting both" because of the 5 position switch with it's single coil selections?

I don't believe I've ever played a Cubass. You say they suck? Hmmm.
How can you say that. Don't they have that Havana rhythm switch on the pre-amp?

Seriously?

Probably not.

You're gonna have more tonal options than Yanni, dude.
We need an LE with Electro-Optical Active Chameleon finish, so it can be any color we want at any moment, glow in the dark, colors that dance with the root movement, batteries not included but special financing for batteries is avaialble. A player could sell ad space on his ax, like on the GoodYear Blimp.

Nope. There is no setting on the HH version that gets you a single coil at the neck soloed. And, there is no setting on the HH version that gets you a single coil at the bridge soloed.

Sounds like there should be kill switches for each PU in addition to the 5-way 'program' switch. Not hard to add if the ax otherwise rocks one's world.
