UNCLE SAM! :D

I talked to my Sergeants in supply at the band hall today and convinced them that a Bongo5 is versitile enough to handle any style of music (and we do play any/every style) and the sweet preamp would sound good plugged directly into a sh!tty mixing consol and running out of PA speakers. We do a lot of "livingroom lounge" gigs for generals to entertain dignitaries and such. And they agree, after reading the possitive reviews posted all over the net.
God, I love the beginning of the fiscal year! They are also buying a warwick thumb5 bolt-on, which will probably go to our other bassist, a bunch of nice Eden gear, and we are upgrading our PA to those Bose stick speakers that double as monitors and PAs.
Now all I gotta do is hit them up for some monster cables and 10 cartons of EB strings!
Makes ya wanna say HOOOAH! :D

Wow! Enough to make me wish I was young enough to re-enlist!

Very cool to hear - congrats on making a successful case for the Bongo!

Congrats! N.K. may be a little uneasy about a Bongo moving in next door, though... :p

Congrats on your new Bongo. Keep an eye out for the brown truck... :)

Your other bassist must have really pissed someone off.

So, if I, as a taxpayer, buy you a Bongo, and you let me use it at a gig, is the depreciation like a tiny undocumented tax return, and, thus, a small way to stick it to the man?

Anyone want to try and parse that sentence?

May backfire on you and actually be viewed as "earnings" you'll need to add to you federal wages...

the Dargie Bongo would look sweet with my dress green uniform, but they aren't getting shipped out till feb-march of next year! and that's far to long for me to wait...even though i have a DD4 Bongo on order...so I AM doing some waiting!
The DD Sterling i ordered is due in late Dec./early Jan. so that will hold me over durring the long wait. :D

I picked a blue one for 8th army band cause most the gigs we play we wear our dress blues, so I'm thinkin' it'll look nice. :)

It's not the first time that some forumites have bought a bass for another forumite. In this case, those who have jobs and live in the US :D
