Guitar Bass string size

What string guage do you recomend I use for (Drop C) if that is what it is called
notes are (guitar) C-G-C-F-A-D I have 10's on there now and they rattle. What guage of bass string? Detuned guitar/bass. Also do I need to change the saddle/nut.
