Congratulations...beautiful guitar!
Thank you! I was researching the GC limited edition Axis & stumbled across a photo Dr. Tweedbucket posted in this forum 12 years ago. The closer I looked at the grain pattern I realized it was the exact guitar. Small world!

Damn, it's cool that you ended up with the same exact guitar. It's pretty.

One thing I wonder, do those GC Axis guitars have push/pull volume knobs to split the humbuckers in the 1/3/5 positions like the GC limited Albert Lee HH runs from around the same time?

I was totally shocked after I got my used Albert Lee and discovered that the tone knob pulled out and I could get all those bonus single coil tones. To me, that makes those guitars a bit more collectible in a practical sense-- and it would be great if EBMM would offer that feature again for modern ALHH guitars.

I would think with the chrome covers, the pickups are essentially the same as the ones in the Albert Lee HH. I also wonder if the AL Dimarzios are zebra under the covers?

The guitar should be arriving in a few days & I can't wait to check it out! The seller is including the original chrome covered Dimarzios & I'll try to see if they are zebras underneath

The Axis showed up & it awesome! I'm glad the seller included the original covered pickups because I'm gonna re-install them. I like the Pariahs but I'm getting a little noise with the bridge pickup for some reason
