12 years later I believe I own this exact guitar!That's the one! At first I thought someone installed chrome covers, but then they said this was some kind of limited edition. Do you know how many were made? Here is a picture>

Thank you! I was researching the GC limited edition Axis & stumbled across a photo Dr. Tweedbucket posted in this forum 12 years ago. The closer I looked at the grain pattern I realized it was the exact guitar. Small world!

One thing I wonder, do those GC Axis guitars have push/pull volume knobs to split the humbuckers in the 1/3/5 positions like the GC limited Albert Lee HH runs from around the same time?
I was totally shocked after I got my used Albert Lee and discovered that the tone knob pulled out and I could get all those bonus single coil tones. To me, that makes those guitars a bit more collectible in a practical sense-- and it would be great if EBMM would offer that feature again for modern ALHH guitars.
I would think with the chrome covers, the pickups are essentially the same as the ones in the Albert Lee HH. I also wonder if the AL Dimarzios are zebra under the covers?
