I wouldn't do that, but maybe they got it super cheap and ask for $750?

I don't know. I wouldn't take a bass like that in a shop. It's not particularly ugly, it doesn't look defective and/or damaged, but it's basically a fake EBMM. Honestly, I can't extimate a value for that, I wouldn't know what to do.

The headstock!!! Wow that has to be about the best/worst so far.
How did they not spot that ?
