Has anybody seen the truckload of EVHs on ebay that Guitar Center has for sale right now!!!!

There are a ton for sale in general right now! with all this EVH activity on ebay right now, it is going to create competition and drive the prices down! Which is good for those who want to pick one up!

There are red, purple, amber, black and blues all available RIGHT NOW!! It's amazing!!!

This happens every once in a while. Around 3 1/2 years ago, there were tons of EVH's on the 'bay. That's when I started collecting them. They would go for around 1700, dead mint was around 2000. I think that some of the crazy prices people have been paying for the dead mint ones lately has gotten EVH owner's attention and they figure this is a good time to sell. But like you said, the glut may back fire on them and drive the prices down.

The same sort of thing happened (tho' on a lesser scale) when Petrucci went to EBMM from Ibanez. There was a sudden, silly spike in the price of used Ibanez Petrucci's - so much so that you could pick up NOS ones from retailers for less than you'd pay for a used one (if you could find one, like I did). In the end, everything evened out again, and now used Ibanez models sell for less than they did when John was still with them... I have no doubt this will happen with the EVH market too, once the transition is done...

And what transition is that? Are you refering to Woflgang prices on ebay, or something else?

I'm watching a very nice red flamed EVH at my local GC right now. It's tucked away on the top rack with a prce tag of $2699. I might have to make a reasonable offer one of these days and see if they go for it.

Hey Glenn,
Yeah it's due to arrive today, I can't wait. I was planning on getting a Silo Special one of these days. After I ordered the new Morse Y2D, I saw this one and had to jump on it because of the color. Otherwise I would have waited.

All I can say is I'm glad I have an understanding wife! :) I might have to go back and look at that Blue Dawn Sport you clued me in on. And then we'll see if she's still so understanding...
