It really depends on what the temp is like that day. I mean if it is cloudy and in the 60's or 70's you would be fine. If the sun is a shinin' though and you are in some heat, no way in hell would I leave a nice guitar for more than a few minutes. Depends on the day and the temp.

+ 1

Two things to consider are what the temperature and conditions of the weather are and the security of your vehicle. If you're you're not ok with either of those 2 (i.e. - it'll be warm, or your afraid of being broken into, or both) then don't do it!

Rule #1: Never leave anything in the car except your wife!
Rule#2 : When your guitar and your wife are in the car - the guitar is in the front seat!
Rule#3: Wear a helmet while writing this and your wife looks over your shoulder, damn

No brainner - don't do it and if you do don't come crying to me saying it's warped/ stolen/cracks/sprout etc etc.

It's made me think because I’ve left a guitar or two in the boot of my car loads of times, probably because I work on a secure site.
The temperature I didn’t think of though.

Sort of OT but a friend at work left a white G&L in a public storage unit for over a year while going through a divorce. Those things are uninsualted tin sheds. When he went to get it out it had turned from white to a grossish yellow. Said it broke his heart.

All right, you convinced me, I'll work something else out. I wasn't relishing the idea of leaving my guitar in the car all day anyway.

OK. I had my wife pack the guitar in her car and we switched cars after my daughter's concert. The school had two shows back to back, so I went to the first and she and my son went to the second. (I do hate the idea of asking my wife to be a 'roadie', I am just real happy she sits through all our gigs. :D ). It worked out fine - love playing the 20th! Exhausting day though....:)

ive got a massive (guitar sized) cool pack for groceries that i use
honestly ive no idea why you would ever buy that much groceries at once, and even if, why you wouldnt just use 5 or 7 regular sized cool packs.. perhaps they had guitars in mind, though i highly doubt it.

... anywho... keeps the guitar at a moderate temperature all day long :)
maybe ernie ball should start making them

"big poppas coffin sized sandwich coolpacks"
"big poppas temperamental coffin carriers"
"big poppas temperamental coffin sized logistic packages" ?

what you guys reckon? :)

I smell a tie in with the grill accessories.
