Remember Steve Morse's column "Open Ears"? Probably the best column ever published in any guitar mag. You don't have to be a guitar player, or even a musician for that matter, to get something out of Steve's writings. Very inspirational and instructional notes and observations that is targeted toward musicians, but anyone can apply his ideas to everyday life (it's available in hard cover form now).Adam

Great Read

Guitar Techniques from the UK is way cool in my book. The exercises really help you to become a better guitar player.

Next I like anything with EB ads

don' t get me wrong, I don't mind the ads, but there are a whole lot of them in GP - and I could be wrong but it seems like there's more than there was in say, 88'.

There were not as many products to push in 88'. Now a days, everyone is peddling something.

...I now find it weird to be perusing an old guitar mag, and not seeing a website listing at the bottom of the page.

Too much of a slave to the system now, I guess. ;)
