That issue, along with the BFR reviews, has a very insightful and interesting interview with Queen's Brian May as the cover story.

Truly one of the best interviews I've read in that magazine in a long long time.

May even subscribe again. :)

Keith - that's what I did. I let my subscription lapse this past summer - right when they started really doing a good job with the cover interviews again. The Andy Summers, JP, Satriani and all of the current ones have been really good.

The Brian May interview is on par with their last Brian May cover interview - from January 1983.

Michael Molina (sp?), GP's editor, joing up and posted over on The Gear Page for a while, and he opened himself up by asking the forum what they wanted to see in the magazine. Of course, all of us old guys (I'm 45) wanted a "return to the long-form cover interviews" and "no-holds-barred gear reviews". It appears GP listened. so I reupped.

I sent in the card. 12 issues for $14.99. Glad the folks at the gear page helped steer it back on track. BTW Michael Molina did the BFR Luke review also.

Any chance somone could do a scan for us guys over the pond? I haven't seen any BFR reviews in the British guitar press.
Thanks in anticipation!

Sorry, I don't have a scanner. GP did short reviews of about 25 different pieces of gear in this issue so the BFR write-up was only about 1 page covering both the Luke and the JP.

However, you can see video reviews on the "Guitar Player TV" part of Guitarplayer.com.
