Just one of the innane things my mind wonders about. :)

At what point during construction of the guitars are all of the small holes drilled (strap buttons, control cavity cover, trem cavity cover, etc)?

I guess I mostly just wondered if they were drilled before or after the clear coat was sprayed. Drilling them last would be tricky. :eek:

In my mind for some reason it seems that clear coat would plug these little holes

But I don't actually know anything about it

On my F3nd3r, I would guess they painted it then drilled it just from the way the backplate screw holes were. No idea about EBMM, but even this little detail looked top notch. Much nicer looking than the F3nd3r.

looking at this photo when I had some work done to my AL, it looks like the holes are drilled after the clear coat.
