I'm no Luthier, but have some time on my hands.
I have a chance to get an old "Lotus Les Paul".
90% of it is there, but I'd like to take it apart.
Strip it down, then take off the Paint/Finish, re-stain it,
Lacquer it and put it back together.
As you can see I'm not that versed in it, but I figure what the Hell.
If it comes to putting it back together and I have problems,
then I've got someone to help.
I was wondering if anyone else here has done this and could give me a few pointers on things like taking the Guitar apart (what to watch out for),
and how to strip the paint, (I was gonna use some "Zip Strip" paint remover.
Any pictures, advice, links would be appreciated.
The "Simpler" in explanations....the better.
