Is the dark area at the edge of guitar any less dark or glossy than the dark areas you havent treated? Its the darker parts where micro scratches / haze can be a problem. Just interested because I buffed out some scratches on one of my guitars (not with this product) but a very slight fog remains in the dark burst area where I treated it.

Taking photos showing this type of treatment is always a problem because of reflections. I wish now that I had used a polarising filter on the camera to cut down on the reflections.
The selling point for me is that if you use T cut or similar you will end up with a slight haze - this products leaves no haze (fog) whatsoever.

I thought I would chime in here! I ordered the Player's Kit and received it about 5 days ago and I have to say that I am actually very impressed with the product. I have a black Peavey Wolfgang standard and a EBMM Teal Quilt Axis. Neither guitar has any deep scratches but both have a decent amount of pick scratches and some swirl marks. In other words, regular guitar polish wasn't really doing the job so I took the plunge and this is the first time in a very long time that a product really delivered on its claims. I have put about 3 applications on both guitars with some decent elbow grease and both look almost brand new! I can only imagine what another application or two with some heavier elbow grease will do.:D I will note that I was underwhelmed after the first coat but after the second one I felt a big grin forming on my face! You will not be dissapointed! I am very, very serious!

that's cool Klownhere.
It does take a bit of elbow grease but heck what a difference it makes.I'm glad that you had good results.
There are two types - the blue paste is slightly more abrasive - yet doesn't leave any haze.
The white cream is less abbrasive.
Apparently you can also request for the product to be silicone free.

Wow! Either a great product or a real pro job with photoshop! :D

Is it OK with vintage guitar finishes? Sounds well worth a try

it is good - as I say requires some elbow grease but does not leave any haze.

The only finish that it's no good on is a matt finish.
it will be fine on old guitars - I have used it on a Gibson 335 and it worked great.

Sorry that it took so long to get pictures posted. Here's some "before" shots, these scratches had already been treated to some rubbing compound so they were a lot worse initially. In the 3 rd shot you can just about make out that these aren't just scuffs - they have some depth to them!

I got the players kit - I seem to remember getting a few other guitarists in on the order and there was a good deal going at the time.

Well, if we had senior reviewers I'm sure you'd be one! :D

For sure, age and number of posts lol.

I still really like that product and used it when I polished up the JP6 after I stripped off the white paint.

I also filled in some dings in the MD paint, with some black celly. Rubbed it back and polished it up after using micro mesh paper than Guitar scratchwasisname ;)
