With my new StingRay on order, and scheduled to be here early May, I am looking to buy a new guitar stand for it. I was wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions on what name brand / type of guitar stand to buy. I dont want a cheap stand that may be un-sturdy and cause my bass to fall over or something, I want a nice, quality, heavy duty stand that I can feel secure with my bass sitting on it, what kind of stand do you guys use with your prized EBMM basses/guitars ???

Thanks

get a hercules set... trust me... it works great and imho the best and most sturdy stand on the market... dont have to worry about accidentally knocking your guitar over...

Small, foldable K&M works for me. They only support the body, but that doesn't matter to me. I mean, the stands i have ada before supported the neck, but if the stand fell over the bass still got hurt.
A bass protected is a bass in a hard shell case!

I use a couple Ultimate stands and they work great. I don't like the stands that you balance the guitar on, I like the ones that you hang the guitar from.

ultimates are great too, i prefer the auto-locking system on the hercules though.

You know, that particular K&M stand isn't that easy to find here in the states. I had one that was for an acoustic but I gave it away. But I do like them.

I have a Hercules double guitar stand. That thing is solid.
But I know nothing you listen to Rockin Ray. He has been around and knows.

I was looking at my SUB today while its hanging on the herc stand... I have question for the herc stand owners, do you think its good for the neck to carry the stress of the bass as it hangs there? or am I still at the stage of the overprotectiveness of the new bass...

There is a store in SoCal that carries them. Electric and acoustic versions. If it's okay to post contact info, I'll drop it into this thread for all to see. Otherwise, PM.

They hang like that at the factory. On walls of every music store. It isn't like there is any real stress over hanging like that so yes you are a might on the over protective side. :D
