OK buds,

apart from my two axis' I have a washburn strat equipped with a floyd rose tremelo. I know whats coming is not a EBMM question but you guys have a lot of knowledge and floyds appear on EBMM's too!!!

I have a problem with the washburn that when I pull up on the floyd bar the A-B strings all ground out on the high register fretwires (for fretted notes - open string notes are OK). I have raised the bridge posts and added relief to the neck by adjusting the truss rod. The action at fret 12 is now pretty high but still pulling up on the bar gives problems. I'm assuming some tweaking needs to happen at the floyd end as when I pull the bar up it is definately dropping the string height over the neck leading to the "grounding out". Any ideas how I can cure this?

If only things were as reliable as a EBMM!!

Cheers
Steve

This is a long shot but. I would bring it to a luthier or very good tech. He can check if your guitar needs a fret dressing. This would cure any unevenness in the frets.
I had this done to both my guitars with a huge success.
