Guitar value question

Hello,
I have an Ernie Ball Eddie Van Halen serial number #84278 that I got in exchange for writing some music. What is a guitar like this worth? I am a keyboard player, so I have no idea. Is it a vintage guitar? Thank you for all your help. Sorry if this is an inappropriate question, but I really don't know who the best resource is.

Depends on colour and condition.

The guitar is in mint condition. The color is golden/amber. There are no scratches or blemishes and the neck doesn't appear to have a lot of wear.

I think that is one of the more common finishes. If it was Pink you would be laughing.
In the UK EVH's tend to go for about £1300 - £1500 second hand.

Mine is 15 years old, and I've played regularly each of those years so your's is worth a lot more than mine. Rough guess, your's....$2500.

Cheapest I've ever seen is $1,000
Normally will go about $1,700-$2,500
You can try to sell it higher than that on Ebay.

For me, If I have to pay $2,500 for an EVH.
I'd rather buy new BFR Axis instead.

Right bout the bfr axis poj. but I would pay for the original pickup selector switch position. wonder why ebmm never stick to that with the axis??

A twin to yours just sold on Ebay for $1850 shipped. Also in excellent condition. Now is not the "best" time to sell an EVH, prices have been WAY down the last few months. Good luck with it, shes a beauty!!

Oh its not 'golden/amber'
its more of a honeyburst.
I was thinking it was a trans gold one like the one Ed used with 5150 on it.

Very nice guitar.
