no particular order-

1.Clapton
2.SRV
3.Slash
4.Jimmy Page
5. Gary Rossington(not the greatest guitarist in the world but i can sit and listen to skynyrd all day and he's my favorite of the four that played in skynyrd)

I've been listening to Keith Urban and i'm impressed with his guitar playing and song writing abilities.

I'd honestly have to say Guthrie Govan is my favorite. Not just for being the greatest living guitarist, but for being the most versatile.
He can out shred any of the above mentioned, he's a master of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, Fingerstyle etc etc etc....
But a bunch of my favorites are in no specific order:
Shawn Lane
Steve Morse
Danny Gatton
Jason Becker
Steve Vai
EVH
Satriani
Marty Friedman
Larry Carlton
Randy Rhodes
Scott Henderson
Dan Huff
Allan Holdsworth
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Chet Atkins
Albert Lee
Steve Lukather
etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

Oh and if you've never heard Guthrie, here's a little tune from him.
He plays all guitar,Bass and Drums on this track...

Jimi Hendrix and his 1965 Stratocaster strung upside down for a left handed m***** f****** genius ( although I have seen him playing all kinds of other stuff too.)
Stevie Ray Vaughn and his Strats
Angus Young and his Gibson SG's
Malcolm Young and his Gretsch Firebird
Jimmy Page and his Gibson Les Pauls that double neck 1275 and his Tele
B.B. King and Lucille
Billy Gibbons and I like his Gibsons but he will play anything
Randy Rhodes and his polka dotted Jackson V
Duane Allman and his Les Paul
Brian Setzer and his Gretsch hollow bodies
Dickey Betts and his Les Paul
Rich Robinson and his Gibson ES 335
Mark Ford and his Gibsons
Clapton and his Strats
Ted Nugent and his Gibsons
Ok there's a start.

My favorites span the spectrum

1 - John Petrucci - without a doubt the all around best electric player. (DT Rules)
2 - Michael Hedges - Acoustic genuis who left us far too soon.
3 - Stevie Ray Vaughn - The man was an "Open Channel" - the notes came from his soul.
4 - Jimmy Page - The reason I got interested in playing - go back and listen to the deeper cuts on "Presence" and "Physical Graffiti" - brilliant.
5 - Joe Pass - jazz master - I wish I could play 10% as well as he did.

There's my varied list. The funny thing is - if I were to add a six "greatest" guitarist to the list it would be a Bassist - Jaco Pastorius.

All I know is that I'm my little girls favorite guitar player, and that's very important.
