Interesting reading Mr Hyde's personal dilemma of having to sell his beloved JP6 to help support his families' needs ... you don't know how much respect I have for Mr Hyde and other folk in his shoes.... Being a responsible family person in this world is the ultimate accomplishment... I truly honor those of you who put family first..

As for moi'...?

Well, being a full-time musician... having played in every state (but the two you can't get to by car) numerous times.... I learned early on, that a musician's life is not the greatest situation for raising kids or even keeping a wife for that matter... Thus I've never been married (almost though... about 3x's in fact)

The night-owl hours we keep and the wages we earn are simply not ideal.

Now days, I have many opportunities to engage and pursue a relationship... but then I realize that a month or two of courting a woman and the required doe to do so... would cost me just as much a buying a new axe... :(

So what comes first in your book: Guitars or Girlfriends?

mmmm it's a hard choice to make in a way, depends on the girl, most of my past girlfriends have been nothing but a pain in the ass, so in that light l'd choice guitars, but if it was a serious relationship (talk of marriage etc), probably girlfriend.

Scott.

At this point I'd have to say guitars

See, a new MM will run me $1K - $2k depending model and options

A girlfriend would cost me half of what I own since my wife would be pretty pissed  :D

man i dunno ...

the last year I've gone through 3 crappy breakups, 2 with the same girl. these were just out of the blue and made zero sense at all. Even my pluntanic, female friend whom I confided in agreed that my situations have been just strange and nonsensical.

so i would say that if I were in a situation where my relationship was good, then I'd definately go w/ the girlfriend. but, the random, "this makes no sense" experiences ive gone thru are just crazy and confusing and mentally exhausting. I can do w/o that...

(a) obviously, you can't pick a girlfriend if they don't understand and/or emotionally and mentally/verbally support your creative muscial outlet
(b) if you feel like you need to spend a lot of $ on a girlfriend, see (a) above
(c) not all women can cook (just as not all men can play guitar)
(d) All of you just got sent to The Hole.
(e) AND, I'm keeping the new Guitar Player issue and the scotch for myself. :p
<ducks and covers> just kidding, guys! :)

It's true...God gave them smaller feet so they could stand closer to the stove. It's in the Bible...Check it out.

OK, before the hatemail starts, I was JOKING!

You know why you don't buy your wife a watch?

There is a clock on the stove.

OK...I am really just kidding. Really. I have total respect for women. Except one.:D

I would have to say guitar no matter what it will be there. It wont leave you for something better looking or more money.

(with apologies to the ladies)

Which of The Two Birds Is a Female???

Below are Two Birds.. Study them closely...

See If You Can Spot Which of The Two Is The Female.

It can be done.

Even by one with limited bird watching skills.

ok... so my take on this one.
In the past few years i've really been taken by a few girls...
1) the first one took me and used me to get close to one of my friends... left me!
2) We out with a gal who was literally PSYCHO! It took me 4 months and changing my phone number twice... I think i'm in the clear
3) The last relationship i persued i was stood up... and then i gave it a second shot... SAME RESULT!
So with all that... at this point gimme the Guitars until the right gal comes along... and then i'll give up the addiction and share the wealth...
