I regret trading my first electric - a nice Washburn

Was a present from the parents.

Traded it on my JS1, which will never go.

Since then I have only sold 2 guitars :

My AXIS (Went to Italy) :

And I shipped my ASS to Victoria (Australia) just TODAY !

Ultimately I'd have loved to keep all of my Balls,
But I'm definately a Rosewood / 24 fret / forearm contour / dual cutaway / Non-Axis neck guy.

BRING ON THE NEW 20th !!! :D

There are 3 guitars I wish I still had today though I sold them in the midst of a cash greed frenzy because I was hot rodding my car back then. A Ibanez JEM77BFP, Ibanez 440R and an Ibanez JPM90HAM. Damn... I wish I still had them SO I CAN SELL THEM AGAIN TODAY AND MAKE MORE $$$!!!!!

I do regret selling my 1974 Rickenbacker 4001 bass. I basically sold it and bought a used Stingray with the money. I do like the sound of the Ray better, but I am sure I could have got more for the Ric than I sold it for. Plus it was my brother's at one time and he was a bit put off that I had sold it. He "sold" it to me a while ago for not alot of money when he was hard up for cash.

To be honest, the Ric pissed me off as the connection at the jack was perpetually loose. I had it repaired 3 times, but never did fix the problem. In retrospect, I should have sent it back to the factory. You do have to admit that Rickenbacker basses look cool as hell.

Then again, I don't play bass all that much, so basically my biggest regret is the bit of tension it had caused between me and my bro.

Well, I'm lucky as I've managed to keep the good ones and say "good ridance" to the ones that have been sold. I came "this close" to selling my guild about 15 years ago at a used instrument store. They told me what they'd give me (I think about $300) and suggested I have it setup instead and keep it. I took their advice and am happy that I instead shoved it in the case under my bed.

This one hurt too, but I'm glad it went to a forumite (Radrock).

This ain't going anywhere. :D:D Really though, I do love this guitar. Anytime I miss my green EVH, I can just look at Islandboys avatar. I'm glad to see these getting passed among forumites. It feels better that way.

Per the thread, I do wish I had kept my 1st electric, a cheepee Lotus VH copy. Simply sentimental value. I saw the same guitar in a store later and didn't buy it again. What was I thinking.

I've had alot of nice guitars came and go through my hands but the two I honestly regret offloading were my '88 PRS Custom 24 and my one off Terry McInturff Taurus Designer Reserve.
