I've got the answer, now that Colin is an EBMM dealer please direct all inane, petty, trivial little questions to him.

Hey Col, can I get a switch tip please?????

I was going to say, "Holy thread resurrection," or some such thing until I read the date on BP's first post in the thread.

Is it just the guitar guys or are the bass guys doing it too, I'm curious.

It wasn't me man, I've only done it once and it was something important and it happened before the whole don't PM thing came about. :D

Neither.. Someone from the strings side, LOL

BP, no need to contact you, CS and the amazing guys/gals in this forum, can manage everything. And if I want to tell you how much I love your guitars, I start a new thread... Simple.
Rule 3. Please don't post about ex-EBMM endorsees :)

Newbies never read FAQs. Or sigs. Some idiots never get the message no matter what.

The PMs will never stop. Take that to the bank.

This is EASY to fix.

1) BP shuts off the PM function on his Big Poppa user account.

2) BP sets up a double-secret eyes-only user account just for PMs and gives that ID only to those who he's willing to get PMs from. Those people presumably know enough not to divulge the name on that account.

3) Set email notification for that account, so that it's not necessary to ever waste time logging onto it unless he wants to reply via PM or clean out the inbox. The message contents appear in the notification email.

Surely this is less of a bother than dealing with clueless knuckleheads who won't listen.

PS: I like the idea of public humiliation for transgressors too. Worked for the Pilgrims!

AD I get to use the pm function.
I dont want to embarrass anyone. I just need people to know that it really is not very considerate to fill my in box and that the people at EB really dont appreciate someone going over their head before giving them a chance to handle a persons concerns.

In case people don't know...STOP WITH THE PM'S TO BIG POPPA!

1. Got a problem, call Customer Service @ 1-800-543-2255. They get paid to help you out. They do a wonderful job of it and that is who you should talk to.

2. Let's not call the ones who do the PM'ing idiots just yet. They may be mis-informed and could be noobs who don't know better. The "idiot" tag will run them off. No need in that. Hopefully this thread will inform them that the PM button to Big Poppa should not be used.

3. Big Poppa should not have to disable his PM function. it is HIS forum and he is asking yet again to not have this priviledge abused. So, EVERYONE, please refrain from the PM function to Big Poppa.

4. If unsure of what is written above, see Bovinehost's post. (I would never mail foam peanuts to Jon...LOL...would I buddy!??!? ;) )

Worse, who gets a box full of styrofoam peanuts and then spreads them all over the house in the midst of their GAS excitement and then makes their wife clean it up while they watch? You people....sheesh!!!

Oh, it's not the noobs. They're cute, cuddly and adorable and it's a pleasure to see them arrive. They just have yet to learn their way around. Shucks, I made the mistake myself once.

It's the persistently clueless, those who have (supposedly) read the FAQ, have seen BP's sig, and who have even seen the threads just like this one that pop up every few months...yet insist on PMing anyway. Those are the ones I'm talking about.

That kind of thing is just plain boneheaded.

Proper board etiquette is so easy, even a caveman could do it.

Not guilty m'lud.

I realise that BP needs to use his PM fuction.
So how about BP set up another account with PM's enabled, only known to the people that really need to PM him.
He could then disable the the PM facility under his Big Poppa account.

It would be like having a mobile phone where the number is only known to the people that need to know.
