An old bandmate and friend of mine came over last night for a little jam session. We have always played blues in the past, but he wants to put together a rock band which is right up my alley, taste-wise. I was blown away by the rock licks coming out of his fingers that I had only heard produce blues previously. I'm sure it also helped that he was playing his cousin's Axis Super Sport. ;) I changed between three of the five settings on my 20th SR5 last night, and was impressed at how much impact the changing settings had on the rock songs as opposed to the walking blues lines I have been playing for so long. I'm excited about forming another band and playing rock for a change, and am looking forward to some fun gigs with the group we form! The 20th SR5 HS is going to get a lot of use with this band.

Congrats on getting into a new band... and yes, the bass sound can have a great impact in guitar oriented rock music. Have fun! :D
