OK, so I'll be ordering a BFR JP soon enough, assuming the upcoming trip to Okinawa doesn't eat my bank card, probably a baritone (never played one but really eager to take the plunge!:D). I'm also settled on a quilt grain pattern for sure. The only problem is the color selection, as I'm a) indecisive, b) partially colorblind and c) Helpless WithOut Forumite Assitance (hereon "HWOFA").

I always liked the Bahama Blue Burst best in pictures, and Pete says it's his favorite finish, but lately the Tobacco Burst has been appealing to me because it is more natural look, and I really love natural top guitars. But even lately-er, I've been thinking about a sweet Blackburst.

So I can't decide. Someone help me, please. Persuade me with your votes and pictures! Thanks in advance everyone. :)

Well, my two favorite BFR colors are Tobacco and Bahama Blue, so it would be really hard to decide, and I would get a quilt top no doubt. Next favorite is probably Walnut, then Ruby, then Black, then Green, and then purple. So I don't really know. I would probably get a Bahama Blue just because it seems more unique and visually stunning. But then again, I've heard that in person it looks more Teal and greenish. I've seen every BFR color up close except the Bahama Blue and obviously the green and purple, and out of those, the Tobacco was my favorite. So it all really boils down to personal preference, and I really can't help you.

I've decied that I need to set a personal goal to get one of each colour. It's too hard to choose. I know what you're going through! But, no matter what you finally choose, you'll be happy!

Of the three you've short-listed, I'd go for the Bahama Blue. Afterall, it is the quintessential BFR colour.

Ruby is also great, and I think is sometimes under-rated. It goes from being near black in low light to glowing like lava in sunlight!

Nice LUKE! I just can't afford one of each color... :(

As for red, my JP6 is PRB, so I'd like to go a different route!

bahama blue or tabacco burst...or both :)
I voted for tabacco, because it's a new option for us, so you'll be one of the first who gets his tabacco :) But I love BBB so badly...Dizzy your guitar looks fantastic! Killer 0ne for sure!

BBB used to be my top choice, but after seeing some pics where it came out looking more teal than blue (mostly in fluorescent light indoors), I changed my mind. Once Tobacco Burst hit the scene, I had no doubt. So, I placed an order for a flame top TB about 2 weeks ago!! I'm HOPING the flame top looks as sweet as adamrogo's top.

Here's my rendition (photoshop edit) of adamrogo's guitar in TB:

saw JP's Tobacco Burst at the DT concert last night and fell lin love!! wow it looks amazing in real! was standing about 5 feet from petrucci the whole night and saw every guitar quite well, they all looked stunning but the TB was the best. oh and his 06 LE BFR came out for the encore, and it looks AMAZING!!

I have to say EBMM you guys have done an amazing job with these guitars and it has just reinforced me buyin a BFR this year. :)
