Nice looker.

If you dont mind Rad I thought that I might tag this on to your thread?
Why is it that the hartails seem to go for less - I would have thought that being in limited supply (one of each colour) they would at least be on parity?

To my knowledge Eddie never played a hardtail version so that probably accounts for it...

My red Axis hardtail is almost the same color very dark.

Now Spud for the resell value you don't have to worry about that there such a few hardtail on the market that the price will go up, maybe not now but in few years, you have to be patient :)

I have seen a Gibson Gold top from 57' for 125K$ so every think is possible :)

one thing is sure those EVH are aging perfectly

Doesn't price increase match inflation? So you sell it for more money, but when you buy something with the money it will cost you more. Isn't inflation rate like 5%? So pretty much your screwed all the way around!

Also I think collectables eventually have diminishing value. The invention period of guitars is good, but after that is questionable. Evh seems to still have a following among teenagers however his new product line is having a hard time. I think collectability for this guitar will remain high, but who knows... If the axis was never made and instead something like the reflex was done I think we would see exhorbant prices. However, I think axis is probably one of mm best selling guitar so they had to capitilize on it!
