Philip,

How are you liking the Silo compared to the Petrucci?
Are you glad about the switch?

so far I like the Silo for its pickups configuration and sounds, also neck shape is sweet. I think that Silo is stiffer in feel than Petrucci and I have some probs adjusting to that. I have set of 9-46 now and feels stiffer than Petrucci with 10-46...strange. Probably I need some more practice as I played acoustic for couple of months only

What do you mean by "stiffer" aside from the Pet trem being totally smooth!

Are you putting 10s on the Silo?
My understanding is that most people do anyways.

I'd imagine that I will switch back and forth from 9's to 10's when I get my Silo.
I think I'll need another ball so I don't have to keep switching strings! ;)

by stiff I mean bending strings is harder despite the fact that it has 9's on them, and the Petrucci trem had better tuning stability, probably my Silo needs a pro setup that's all

Do you think it might be because of the trem difference?
The JP floats a little does it not?

no no it's cool, I dont like sound of the bass strings in the 9-42 set so I am changing that and the intonation was off due to probably long travel and stuff, few string are flat on the 12th fret, no biggie ;)

Oh, o.k. I understand what you are saying now. :)
