Off Topic Half Stack, Mono/Stereo???

If I just have a head and one 4x12 cab, can I run the one cab stereo?

The head has options for 4, 8, and 16 ohms and the cab has a 16 ohm mono or 8 ohm stereo option.

What the hell am I doing?!?

you can run your cab in stereo but that would require a stereo head.

if your head has two 8ohm speaker outlets you can hook the cabinet up with 2 cables. it will still be mono

if your head has only one outlet of each i suggest you hook it up in mono 16 ohm. i actually think ill recommend doing that even if your head has two 8ohm outlets

If you had a seperate power amp you could do this:

Run 8 ohm out from head to half of 4x12.

Run a cable from the effects send or pre amp out of the amp to an effects processor, run that into the power amp, run the 8 ohm out of the power amp into other half of the 4x12.
