Happy 40th birthday to the Sting Ray's!

After months of a prototyping "incubation" phase, June 23 marks the 40th anniversary the first production Sting Ray's were completed. The first 7 basses and 7 guitars (all Sting Ray I's) were assembled for Music Man salesmen to bring out on the road for demonstration.

For me it is more than just an "industry standart". It changed into a part of my body, became my voice over the years. No matter if in 4-strings or its younger brother, in 5-strings.
