I have learned a long time ago, always notify the Mrs. It might take some planning, or even some persuasion. Once she approves, everything else just falls into place.
 
My Wife caught me looking at another guitar this weekend and got pissed... "Isn't 5 enough" she said. My dumb ass replies "you forgot the acoustic"... I don't think that helped.

Did I mention I'm gassing for a PDN L3 or Axis
 
My wife is actually cool with me buying gear. But she just gave me crap for not saying that soon enough in this thread!!!

I have around 50 guitars - every so often I buy one "for her" and that makes her happy.

P.S. - She doesn't know how to play guitar! :)

Mrs Bebop buys more guitars than I do... and a lot of them are for me, even though I remind her that they are "ours"...

Kinda lucked out there... :)

I can't believe you have a Vandenberg. I loved him solo and in Whitesnake. ahhh, the good old days.
 
Annnnd I just bought her back today!!!! I realized that it's just a fantastic guitar. Too good to pass up
 
Only thing that bums me out is that it has cracks in both sides of the neck pocket. None of my other mm's had/have this. I know it's common just bums me out!!!
 
I love this colour! And it comes with all the chrome parts instead of white plastic which is what I want to change on my AL.

And don't stress about the stress cracks. ;)

Congrats on a really nice AL.
