Hey.

Bought myself a Silo special, but it came without a hardcase.

Are the MM cases sold seperately or are there any good alternatives??
Which non MM-cases do you guys use ?

Thanks

Hi Mark, congrats on your Silo Special. You can order a MM case through a MM dealer. They also show up on eBay from time to time, for around $75. Good, solid hard cases.

There's a 20th Anniversary Silo case on eBay right now!
I'd say that's more than perfect!

Yes, I saw that one, but the seller doesn't ship to Europe...
Plus: all music retailers are closed on monday (at least the EBMM dealers)...so no last minute x-mas pressie for me :(

Also the SKB Fender replica case. It's not the rectangular shape we're used to. More guitar form fitting. I went to GC for a fitting and it was great. They had to find one in the back without the Fender logo for me. Mine says SKB Orange, CA on the top. Little pocket under the neck, too for storage.

I keep my BFR in it. Cost 80-100 bucks

I don't get it... why would anyone buy a 20th case without the guitar? I love the normal black case that EBMM guitars come with. They're good for travelling with on flights, and can be checked in safely. But the 20th case seems a bit too delicate, and is heavier... I wish the 20th I got had the black case, so I'd be more at ease checking in the guitar.

+1
SKB case > Blinged BFR/20th/LE case in terms of protection and durability.
