I have broken off tuning keys, launched it over a bar, in the mosh pit...etc. I never purposely "smashed" it on stage to completely break it though.

i've just never been able to understand why someone would purposely destroy a guitar on stage.

I can see trashing a Squier...but a Music Man? A premium, precision crafted beautiful instrument deserves more respect than that.

Personally, I never thought it was cool. Not everyone can afford to buy a new guitar every night - Squire or otherwise. There are kids all over the world that would love to have an electric guitar. To me, smashing a 'perfectly good guitar' is like ordering dinner at a really expensive restaurant and then just throwing it away simply because you can. It just shows a completely lack of respect for music in my opinion.

Just so ya'll know That cat lives in Halifax about 2 hours from me and has been fighting for over a year to get his guitar fixed ...and since the video United airlines have called him and it was shown on CNN hahahaha he Played with a great band called Sons of Maxwell
