Just so ya'll know That cat lives in Halifax about 2 hours from me and has been fighting for over a year to get his guitar fixed ...and since the video United airlines have called him and it was shown on CNN hahahaha he Played with a great band called Sons of Maxwell

Yeah, it's a great story about the little guy using the power of song to overcome the BS of a big corporation. I believe Taylor also gave him a new guitar because of it. United was the worst domestic airline I ever flew on out of a lot, so I can't say I'm sad he's hurting their rep :D

Going by car would have been his only option. All airlines and airports are the same - they all suck. They think that all they have to do is put up a stupid little sign that says they're not liable, and that gives them a legal right to steal or destroy anything they want. Having been a victim too (although not a guitar), I can feel his pain. It's one of the reasons my guitars will NEVER travel with me by plane.

Never seen it, and I personally never would. If I'm ever considering trashing a guitar, I'll give it to someone instead.

Smashing guitars is so wasteful... you know somewhere out there there's a little kid who'd love nothing more to get his hands on ANY guitar and then people go and smash them like it ain't no thing. Wasteful and selfish.

Not a big fan of destroying instruments. If I ever have to opportunity to destroy an instrument I will give it away instead. There are kids (other musicians too) that will be grateful to have a guitar whether the quality is good or not.

My 2 cents

I am always happy to add another EBMM to my collection. I would never trash any of them onstage...ever. If any of the forumites reading this post have tendencies towards doing such a thing, please send your EBMM to me and I will, in turn, supply you with another guitar to trash onstage.

End of story.
