Has anyone played the Mariposa guitar?

As a piece of guitar 'art' I think it would be difficult to top this as an object of desire, particularly in the green.

But I wondered if anyone has played one? From the youtube videos it appears to have quite a bluesey 'twangy' tone, so maybe sounds as distinctive as it looks.

I am sorry to continue the criticism of Musicman marketing but this guitar was designed by the guitarist Omar Rodriguez Lopez. But there do not appear to be any clips on the net of him actually playing one.
If you were thinking of spending 3 grand on a signature instrument -is it unreasonable to expect the man himself to demonstrate it?

I haven't played a Mariposa, so I can't help you there, however... I'm pretty sure this is the only artist guitar I've seen where the artist has been absent from the marketing videos (they have some pics of him with it), I feel like there could be many reasons for this that we're not privy to. Perhaps a video shoot was scheduled to happen this year but COVID got in the way, perhaps he doesn't want to be on camera, perhaps, well anything really... you get the idea. Who knows, but history shows that if there's an artist guitar made by Music Man the artist will be involved in at least a bit of the marketing, including video... in this case so far, it's just images.

Thank you for the clarification. Its not really my business particularly as I don't have 3k, but to me this instrument seems to have quite a special shimmering sound and it's stupid they can't work out how to get Lopez to demo it's qualities.
