May I point out that Europe encompasses quite a couple of countries more than the islands of Britain. ;) And at many of those, any MM instruments are rather rare.
Haha fair point, i suppose i assumed they were all fairly similar in that respect, i guess i was wrong, you should know being in switzerland and i know you've imported a fair few. Importing to the UK though is a little pointless as it stands in my opinion...

i believed what has happened is the seller makes it sound as if were much older than it is also that it is the same as a 76-79 musicman, you can see that by the questions and answers he gives the buyers at the bottom of the listings, he states the same as the musicman selling for 4000- 5000. dollars,, which MM;s are those that sell at that price, someone who might not knowtoo much ,woukd believe this

I see! The buyer is Swiss! Shiny bass with good pics! Looks like he bumped the saturation a little in Photoshop! The bass seems well kept! Hope he likes it! I think the newer ones are nicer though! You could get a nice new black one for less than that! Do you think he'll like it!

The skunk stripe is common on early MusicMan basses and pre Ernie Ball that go for 4000.00 to 5000.00..

It is very early. Much like the 4000.00 to 5000.00 MusicMan basses only this has a four bolt instead of a three bolt. That's about the only difference....

He's beat that 4-5K drum purdy good.
